Argos Software has been providing a proven Warehouse Management System (WMS) to the third party/outsourced logistics industry since 1985. Our users range from distribution warehouses providing storage, handling and other services to fulfillment warehouses responsible for a high volume of small orders. Products handled encompass a very broad range of items. From items handled by the pallet or bin, to rolls of paper and metal, to bundles of timber, to uncrated items such as ingots, furniture and machinery, to bulk items held in railcars or special facilities, to hazardous items. From items stored under cover on racks, floor stacked or in bins to various types of outside storage. By size, our users range from 10,000 square foot refrigerated warehouses to multi-million square foot dry facilities covering multiple buildings and sites.
The services provided by our users cover the straightforward receiving, shipping and storage services to more complex services, such as repack, cross dock, labeling, wrapping, freezing, repairs, freight forwarding, delivery, customs, special documentation, cycle counts, and change of ownership while in storage. Since these services must be billed, charges are attached to these services in a very flexible manner and billed based on the customer. The charges can be based on the item or the transaction. Storage charges can be billed ahead or behind, can include split periods in the first or last month, can include free days or a grace period, can be based on the on-hand quantity or the average daily balance, can be as of a fixed date or an anniversary date, and can be based on units, weight, pallets, volume, value, and so on, as needed.
The ABECAS Insight WMS is a powerful, customizable and flexible system that integrates with the rest of the ABECAS Insight system, including the accounting, payroll, personnel, maintenance, freight management, and sales management modules. Screen content and layout can be designed by you; screen and report labels can be relabeled in the data dictionary by you; data entry is simplified and controlled through the use of "data profiles" or templates that can be built at the level appropriate to each customer or product; reports, forms and labels can all be customized, including having specific forms for each customer or type of product; ad hoc reports can be quickly generated with the format being saved for later use; and security is available at the menu level or by function or field within each program.
The ABECAS Insight WMS is an open, scalable and robust system designed to meet today's requirements with unlimited future expandability. It employs the best of current technology . Microsoft SQL
Server® for the database server, Windows® clients, and separate application, communication and scheduler servers. The programs have been developed using Borland's
Delphi®. An API is available for interfacing with other programs or for user developed programs.
Argos Software is committed to supporting each user in implementing and operating our WMS. Our goal is to exceed user expectations and to assist each one in gaining the full benefit of our system. We provide implementation planning workshops, both in our office and on-site, implementation services and training, both on-site and remotely, and on-going support services. Our ABECAS Insight Subscription Service includes telephone and web support services, program updates and periodic upgrades. We customize the product to your requirements and then continue to support these modifications as part of the system
